Inspiration For This Painting

Crimson – Acrylic on primed cotton
Painted with no huge plans or intentions with different shades of red. Reminds me of the blood that poured out of Jesus’s side. I kept wondering if I should add more for months but I just could not bring myself to add anything a… so it remains as is.
Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water. John 19:34
