Inspiration Behind This Painting
6th seal is an original artwork inspired by a dream that I had over 15 years ago. I had the same dream twice which is why I remember it well. The dream was both awesome and terrifying and it has been pivotal in my life. I wasn’t really keen on painting this but in the recent years, I’ve understood a bit more about the dream and thought it was time to put it on a canvas.
The dream, I realized recently, was based on the breaking of the 6th seal events detailed in Revelation 6. While no one knows when these events will take place, history has shown that Biblical prophecies have come true, time and time again. While I do not know when Jesus will come back, both as the King and Judge, we are certainly inching closer to the day, every passing moment. We will be wise to consider our ways in the light of the future that awaits everyone of us.
