Inspiration For This Painting

This is an abstract painting representing the city walls of new city of God. The book of Revelation talks about how the heaven and earth will pass away one day and the new city of God will be restored to glory. As an artist and a believer in the goodness of God, I see color! Everything will be absolutely beautiful and the colors will be much more vibrant than what we can see here on earth. While the earth and all creation groans in pain from repercussions of sin, there is hope for a restored tomorrow. Christ has already finished the work at the cross. In time, He will restore that which is broken.

The wall of the city was built on foundation stones inlaid with twelve precious stones: the first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald,  the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst. Revelations 21:19-20.
